Marc Lumer
Co-Founder, Creative Director

Marc is an animator, children’s book writer-illustrator and graphic artist. He worked earlier in his career as a visual development artist for Warner Bros. Television Animation, Dreamworks Feature Animation, Disney Television Animation and Sony Television Animation. He also collaborated with two-time Oscar winning director, Brad Bird, on Ratatouille and The Incredibles. Most recently, Marc was producer on the Netflix Original Series Mighty Little Bheem and co-creator of the Amazon Series Kalari Kids.

Marc has also written and published twelve children’s books, including “Benny’s Mitzvah Notes”, written for his son Benny and selected in 2014 as a notable book of the year by The Sydney Taylor Book Award Committee. His books are translated into French, Hebrew, Spanish and Russian.

Bob Spang
Director & Head of Animation

Bob Spang is not a cartoon character, but he has played one on TV. In addition to his talent as a director, writer, and animator, Bob voiced the characters Eli the Elephant, Gracie Gorilla, and several others on the Cartoon Network series-within-a-series Ant and the Aardvark (Pink Panther and Pals). Bob won the prestigious CINE Golden Eagle Award as director of the Sesame Street PSA, Grover Safari Road Safety. Spang spent many years at Walt Disney Feature Animation where he was senior visual designer working on Tinkerbell, Mushu (Mulan) and Lumiere (Beauty and the Beast). He was also a lead animator and a director on Drew Carey’s Green Screen Show and served as director for the Wayans Brothers’ Thugaboo.

Miri Rooney
Illustrator and Designer

Miri Rooney is an illustrator, visual designer, crafter, and hair-dye enthusiast. Over the past decade she’s enjoyed creating show posters, children’s books, and visual assets for clients such as Google, Sportly, and GoodBaby. Miri has worked with Marc Lumer Productions since 2016, creating illustrations, page layouts, and identity designs for picture books, educational materials, and various publications. 

Dovber Naiditch
Head Writer

DovBer Naiditch is our very own cuddly bear, and with ten (yes, ten!) kids of his own has a built-in focus group to test his fabulous work right in his living room. He started out with a small boutique production company, writing and producing videos for advertising and other fun projects. Dov joined Marc in 2018, with whom he’s developed and written numerous treatments, show bibles and screenplays for the international market, including the Netflix hit, Mighty Little Bheem.

Ashley Mills Monaghan
Music Director

Ashley Mills Monaghan is an award winning children's author and musician. Labeled 'the one to watch' by the Digital Journal, Ashley began releasing her own children’s music in 2020, and today helps bring our children’s shows to life with her musical magic. Her five time award winning book, 'A Little Goes a Long Way,' has taken her around the country and abroad to share with young audiences.

Ashley has a BFA in film production and music from Chapman University and a postgraduate degree in early childhood education. She continues to teach music for early learners while writing, performing and producing her music and being a full time mom to two amazing boys.

Sam Davis
Social Media Head

Sam Davis, social media head at Marc Lumer Productions, has worked with and advised CEOs, CMOs and CCOs of Fortune 500 companies on their approach to digital, social and mobile media. His client list includes Coca Cola, UBS, Caesars, BT, Nissan, Equinox, SoulCycle, IBM, BHP, PetSmart, and WSL.

Sam earlier built and ran the top social media agency in professional tennis, where he managed overall strategy and execution of social media accounts for various athletes, including Maria Sharapova, Novak Djokovic, and Kei Nishikori. He grew and managed 30+ million cumulative social media fans, and also developed and launched social media campaigns for American Express, Porsche A.G., TAG Heuer, Nike, Peugeot and Citizen Watch around their sponsored athletes.

Nisha Chatwani
Software Engineer

Nisha Chatwani is a Trustee Scholar at the University of Southern California, where she studies Computer Science. Her work experience spans software engineering at Fortune 100 companies like Microsoft and Boeing, to website development at Eko, a leading fintech company in India serving millions of financially un- and under-served. At Marc Lumer Productions, Nisha is our resident programmer and IT superstar -- she helps us and our clients connect with the world.

Nisha is an avid soccer player and enjoys finding ways to use her coding skills for good. She recently developed machine learning algorithms to help predict the onset of Alzheimer's disease using speech patterns.
